Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1⅓ cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • teaspoons baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoons salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup M&Ms

Instructions

  • Cream together butter and peanut butter with an electric mixer in a large bowl.
  • Add brown sugar and continue to cream until fully combined and smooth.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, fully incorporating after each addition. Add vanilla.
  • Mix baking soda and salt into oats and slowly add to the cookie dough while mixing.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and M&Ms with a spatula or on low speed with the electric mixer.
  • Roll two tablespoons of dough into a ball (about the size of a golf ball) to make each cookie.
  • Bake on a cookie sheet covered with parchment at 350°F for 9-11 minutes, or until done. Do not overbake.
  • Let stand on the cookie sheet for five minutes to cool. Remove cookies from the cookie sheet and cool completely on a flat surface.

Notes

No need to refrigerate the dough. It'll bake up just right, straight from the mixing bowl.
